history lesson

I think it might be good for us younger and those young to hear some stories of life as a gay woman over the years.Anyone got any stories?

Re: history lesson

When my partner was a youngster, her mother found out about 'the women' and took her to a psychiatrist to see if 'anything could be done' then was offered electric shock therapy to try and make her daughter 'normal'.  Naturally my gf refused, lol and fortunately mother and psychi listened.
Also her mother (whilst on hol in UK) got into a discussion with a man from another country about her 'wayward' daughter, he subsequently offered to take my gf as a third wife and take her off the mother's hands.  He then wrote a few weeks later telling her he was on his way to the country to collect my gf (this was years ago) and could mom have a bag packed for her (apparently the other two wives had 'given permission') and that he didn't need a dowry!  My gf's mom still has the letter!  Boy did it cause panic!
