Writer's agents

Hi everyone,
I am seeking recommendations for an agent to help me get my first novel published. Someone who has a track record getting sci-fi/fantasy with a femenist edge would be a good start I'd think. Any thoughts? I'm also looking for a professional editor to work with on the final draft and future novels. Your assistance would be most helpful! Cheers.

Congrats on getting a story finished.  I hope you find an agent and get it published - looking forward to reading it.  I love sf.  Do you write many short stories?

Thanks for your encouragement! So far its been poetry and this first novel, although I have had many starts to stories over the years, many in the speculative fiction genre, which I would like to do, maybe as short stories. I will definately be promoting the book through the sofa when it's published, so keep an eye out!
